Beacon Lighting in Inverclyde

INVERCLYDE is to hold a beacon lighting ceremony to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Councillors have agreed that the local beacon will be on Lyle Hill in Greenock.

It will be lit at 10.24pm on 4 June, in line with the other beacon lighting events in Scotland, with the Provost and chief executive leading the ceremony.The Queen's Jubilee Flag will also be flown by the council between 2 and 5 June and a public floral display will be put in place at a location within Inverclyde to mark the occasion.
