Channel Islands Beacons

As part of the Bailiwick's celebrations to recognise the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, a chain of beacons will be lit across all the islands of the Bailiwick, including Sark, Alderney Jethou, Brecqhou, Herm and Lihou.
All of the islands Beacons, including Guernsey’s Beacon which is siutated on the top of Castle Cornet, will be lit at 10.21pm. The Parishes of St Andrews, St Martins and St Pierre du Bois along with Les Cotils Christian Centre, will also light their own Beacons, during the evening.

The lighting of the Guernsey Beacon will be followed by a firework display from the Castle Cornet emplacement, commencing 10.30pm. This time coincides with Her Majesty The Queen lighting the National Beacon in London.
